Xinwang is currently leading the USDA pecan breeding program, overseeing both scion and rootstock breeding efforts. His primary responsibilities include creating new crosses, evaluating all crosses, and advancing breeding lines. The ultimate objective of his work is to develop superior pecan cultivars that offer improved traits and benefits for our valued growers.
